The 2020 Annual Fall Fellowship Gathering
For the past three years delegates of the Fellowship churches have gathered in Cromwell CT for an overnight Fellowship meeting. Last year the guests enjoyed refreshments and grand entertainment on Friday night. Saturday morning began with devotions followed by a delicious hearty full breakfast. The remainder of the morning found individuals engaged in educational workshops. An “all American buffet” lunch included a delightful choice of entrees, salad, coffee and deserts. The gathering concluded following an afternoon seminar and closing prayers.
This year things are different. Due to the COVID-19, we are unable to host an overnight gathering at the hotel in Cromwell. We have made plans to meet online via Zoom at 4pm on Sunday, October 8th. Rev. Shawn Stapleton who works with the National Association will assist in the administration/ technology aspect allowing all of us to engage fully in the meeting. This year’s main agenda item is to discuss and vote on the Bylaw revisions previously presented to the delegates. This project, nearing three years of work for the Bylaws Committee needs to be reviewed and approved to allow the Fellowship (particularly the Executive Committee) to meet the demands of our churches within the current ever-changing cultural shifts of the world we live in.
